Event Technician

Arizona Pro DJs is now hiring event technicians. As an Arizona Pro DJs event technician you will be on call to work weekend events as needed. Event technicians will be trained in many aspects related to planning and execution of the production side of teen events including the setting up and tearing down of light, video and sound systems. As a part of one of the best teen entertainment companies in the country, you will work with high schools, colleges, and private event clients to transform their dreams into reality. On top of that, you’ll have the best coaching, tools, and products in the market to help you succeed and grow.

Call of Duty (sadly, not the game):

• Maintains workplace, project and site safety at all times.
• Builds and operates sound, lighting, and video systems as required.
• Loads and unloads entertainment related trucks.
• Builds, modifies, and strikes entertainment related staging.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation methods
• Availability to work long hours and varied shifts to include weekends and holidays.
• Physical capabilities:
  • Must withstand activities such as prolonged walking, standing, stairs, stretching, bending, reaching, kneeling, etc.
  • Hear within a normal range and among distracting high noise levels.
  • See with vision correctable to 20/20 in various lighting conditions.
  • Maintain physical and mental stamina when working under pressure when working multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Carry a weight of up to 50 pounds.
• Adequate reading, writing and mathematical skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written form.
• Interpersonal skills to deal with the fellow employees.
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Arizona Pro DJs standards

Brownie Points:

• Previous experience in lighting, sound or event video
• Strong knowledge in theatric scenic painting; builds, modifies, and strikes scenic show elements.
• Knowledge of all power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to drive large commercial box trucks (or has commercial drivers license)
• Proficient with Google apps (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, etc)
